About
Like most people in the User Experience industry, I kind of stumbled upon it. In college, I would say I officially (but unknowingly) caught the bug for human-centered decision making after taking an operations class on creativity, innovation, and high-performance organizations. As a natural creative, I struggled to find a way to marry this process-oriented background with my artistic talents in a way that both provided value and made a meaningful contribution to the world. A year after I graduated and started my career in the healthcare tech industry, I realized my background could be a unique asset to our UX team and transitioned to my current role as a UX Designer in early 2018.
I am passionate about diving deep into the underlying processes and information architecture to support user needs as effectively and efficiently as possible. As a constantly inquisitive and analytical person, I thrive best in environments that allow me to explore, experiment, and take time to formulate decisions I can be confident about. I love collaborating with thoughtful people who I can bounce ideas off of, will go “down that rabbit hole” with me or play devils advocate to challenge my ideas.
“Curious X Design” — What's in a Name?
I once described myself at a virtual conference as "the human definition of curiosity killed the cat.” I then realized that my curiosity is a driving factor in both my personal and professional lives, and wanted my brand to reflect that.
